I am excited to be part of the SML! group and look forward to each meeting. I joined SML! after being an on and off visitor for a few years. I find that the hardest part of Toastmasters is listening and at SML!, that is what we do. In order to give effective evaluations, you need to listen. We are given the challenge to raise the bar for every evaluation, to include that one little thing that our speakers can leave with solid information that they can use to be better speakers. |

While I have attained my DTM, it is only a beginning. I am interested in getting to the next level in speaking. Saturday Morning LIVE! offers that hard to obtain perspective. Communications are vital in today’s world, and SML! is a part of it. |

I just love Saturday Morning Live! I was invited to my first meeting with one more speech in my CC manual. I made sure that I completed that within two weeks at my home club so I could join SML! right away. What I saw at my first meeting sold me -- I wanted more... speeches thoroughly evaluated with specific ideas on ways to improve, thoughtful evaluations with insight and ideas to make a speech better, and leadership opportunities that stretched me to step out of my comfort zone. Come! See us in action! (read more) |

No matter how short or long a period of time you have been a Toastmaster, there is always room to improve. Superb evaluations are the reason I made SMl! my second club, and the dynamic quality of the meetings as well as the camaraderie keep me coming back. I have learned many ways to be a better evaluator and I have gained many great insights on how to improve my speaking ability. This club will challenge you as a Toastmaster to take your growth to the next level! . Faye was awarded 2010-2011 Toastmaster of the Year for District 6, Rivers Division and Central Division. |

Thanks to Toastmasters I am a professional speaker. I am also author/coauthor of eight educational books. As Toastmaster I have most benefited from the first manual. When I began, I was so scared of public speaking and this gave me the path to ditch that fear! I also found it helpful to get involved with contests. What really helps me in life, both personally and professionally is the ability to speak spontaneously which I have derived from Table Topics. See what Toastmasters has begun in me by going to www.maryzmcgrath.com. Think about joining us. You will not be disappointed. |

I
joined SML in 1996 as the 2nd club to my home club The Talking Meds that I joined in 1991 as a charter member. As soon as I joined I felt the challenge & butterflies return because I was doing something that I knew I needed to learn: become a more skilled evaluator and a more skilled speaker/communicator.
SML! and our members have continued to provide that challenge to me over all of these years, especially when I've taken on club and district leadership roles. My vision for our club is to continually raise the bar in helping people to be even better speakers and communicators through the development of skilled evaluations. Our club serves a very important need in the community and I see it as a valuable resource for all Toastmasters.. |
Ravi Rai, DTM
Ravi Rai visited SML! as a guest and was so impressed
with the club's leadership that he decided to join the
club right away. He enjoys the high quality of
evaluations that is unparalleled in the district. Ravi
believes in "Leadership from Within". Everyone of us has
a leader within us. Given time and opportunity, the
inner self of a person demonstrates the leadership. Ravi
lives in Apple Valley with his toastmaster wife
Catherine Cardenuto and daughter Anshika Rai.
